10-Year Anniversary of Global Health Studies

Celebrating a Decade of Global Health Studies

In celebration of a decade of the Program in Global Health Studies here at Northwestern University, we organized a day of events on May 8th, 2015 with an alumni panel and alumni coffee chats for students, and a reception at the new Segal Visitors Center for the Northwestern global health community.

To me, #NUGlobalHealth means...

We collected testimonials from the Northwestern global health community that were featured on social media and were on display during our 10-Year Anniversary Reception. Check out the many inspiring stories we received!

Student Activities

Led by Northwestern University Community Health Corps (NUCHC), various health student groups organized activities connecting global health to Northwestern health by peer educating students about five areas of college health: Mental health, sexual health, disease prevention, substance abuse, and nutrition and exercise. IPD public health ambassadors were around to tell interested students about the various IPD public health study abroad opportunities.
